Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School is back at ‘The Strip’ in Las Vegas starting May of 2017!
The world’s most successful and popular Drag School will offer a full slate of classes including NHRA Super Comp and Super Gas licensing courses and its popular Adventure Dragster program featuring “side-by-side” racing.
“We’ll be starting our West Coast tour at Tucson Dragway in April, then we’re at our second home of Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA. After that, it’s on to Vegas,” said Hawley.
“We’re excited to begin classes again at The Strip in Las Vegas,” said Hawley. “It’s been a few years since we offered classes at the popular facility and we can’t wait to get started. Our first classes will be in May of 2017.” “Adding Vegas back on our west coast schedule gives our customers even more opportunity to add their names to the tremendous list of graduates of Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School.”
The two-day Super Class allows drivers of all backgrounds the opportunity to earn their NHRA competition driver’s license in the school’s Chevy Performance 572/720R equipped Super Comp Dragsters or Super Gas Firebirds. For drivers that already have their own car, the school offers a “bring your own car” program that gives drivers the opportunity to enjoy the same driving course behind the wheel of their own race car. No experience is necessary to take the course.
In addition to on-track time, students will learn from Frank’s classroom sessions which cover the physiology of how the mind and body work together. Participants will learn how to mentally prepare, perform at the highest level, improve focus and block out distractions. Frank teaches how to practice more effectively, feel more confident about pulling up to the starting line and he shares techniques on how to remove the emotional baggage (everybody has some) that can often disrupt good performance.
For those that are simply looking for the thrill of blasting down the quarter mile, the Dragster Adventure in Las Vegas starts at just $499 for the half day program, or $699 for the whole day program with SIDE-BY-SIDE racing.
Seats are limited and advance registration is required, so call now to reserve your seat for the May 17-18 or October 10-11 Las Vegas competition course, or book on-line for the Las Vegas Dragster Adventure on October 12 or October 13.
For additional information, please call Paul Shields or Jeff Arend at Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School, 866-480-7223, or visit our website for additional class dates and locations at www.frankhawley.com.

In the meantime, if you’ve already been to the school, tell people about the programs, and please “like” and review us on our Facebook page. We are grateful to continue to help people get started in racing, or help them fulfill a lifelong dream! Our grads are our best endorsement and we are thankful for you all!
The December classes between Christmas and New Years are extremely popular and this year the calendar worked out where we are able to offer TWO classes during this time. These are very popular for the up and coming racers out there as they are on school break, and also many people have this time off work. Don’t delay if you may be thinking about attending during one of these classes, as both class dates are half full already!
Our very knowledgeable guys, Paul Shields and Jeff Arend, are responsive to your calls, texts and emails so feel free to contact them with any and all questions you have about the school, what you’re trying to accomplish, whether you want to bring your own car, arrange a group event, just have some fun, buy a gift for someone, or even treat a potential sponsor or significant other to a taste of drag racing, etc. Their direct contacts are listed at the end of this email.
Below is a list of confirmed class dates. Please check back as we will be confirming other dates soon! **Additional dates for Group Events, TD/NFC are on demand

Mid-October we’re off to Auto Club Dragway! In addition to a special program for the Fontana Chamber of Commerce, we’ll be running our SC/SG/BYOC class on October 19-20. Only a few seats are left in this class. The Dragster Adventure on October 21 has been sold out for some time, but there are still a few spots left on October 27 and October 28.
Call on our knowledgeable staff if you’re looking to earn your license, upgrade your license or get started in racing. They will answer any questions you may have or help you reserve your seat in any of the programs we offer. Those new to drag racing will learn basic techniques and procedures. Experienced racers will master the mental challenges that separate winners from losers. Contact us for more information or to register for this course.
The Dragster Adventure and Dragster Adventure Challenge will be offered April 21st and April 22nd. This course is for drivers that want to “drive a dragster” and compete in “side-by-Side” racing without committing the time and resources required to become a licensed race car driver in one of our licensing courses. The premiere episode of the brand new series, “Jay Leno’s Garage” debuts this coming Wednesday, October 7th on CNBC!
The show, which was filmed at the Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA, features Drag School founder Frank Hawley and NHRA Pro Stock champ Erica Enders helping Jay find the fast way to the finish line in a Super Comp dragster!
“When the show’s producer called and asked if I’d be interested in helping Jay Leno learn to drive a Super Comp Dragster I said absolutely, without even asking for details,” said Frank Hawley. “I grew up watching Leno…I’m a really big fan. They teamed me up with one of our former grads and a good friend, Erica Enders. Erica is so talented, it was great working with her,” said Hawley. “Jay’s love of cars is genuine and he made it very comfortable for Erica and me.”
“Frank and I really enjoyed the opportunity to work with Jay. He’s a great guy and his love for cars matched ours. We had a lot of fun. I hope everyone watches the show.” said Erica.
So how did Jay do behind the wheel? You’ll have to watch the show to find out!
Remember…this Wednesday, October 7th, 10:00 pm EST on CNBC!
You can catch a glimpse of the segment at the 1:22 mark in the extended preview link below…
The popular web TV show “Roadkill” produced by Hot Rod, recently shot an episode with the help of Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School.
The Roadkill hosts David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan showed up last week at Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA with a group of 8 contest winners from across the nation. The participants were treated to plenty of tire smoking action behind the wheel of some viciously fast Dodge Charger Hellcats. The drivers put the Hellcats to the test during drifting, road racing and drag racing competitions.
Jeff Arend, NHRA Nitro Funny Car driver and Frank Hawley Drag Racing School instructor, was on hand to show the drivers the fast way to the finish line.
“The cars were amazingly fast,” said Arend. “I got a chance to do a little test driving before the show and I couldn’t believe it. You need a lot of skill to get the best performance out of them. If you just floored it the cars would smoke the tires to half-track and if you relied solely on the traction control they wouldn’t run the quickest times. It took a lot of technique to get optimum performance. I had a great time working with the shows hosts Dave and Mike as well as the participants,” continued Arend.
“The air date hasn’t been set,” said Hawley, owner of Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School. “But we’ll keep everyone updated when we get further info. I can’t wait to see it!”
If you are a fan of tire smoking action, check out Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School at www.frankhawley.com or give us a call at 866-480-7223!
